Spring Daffodils

The daffodils in our front yard are finally blooming, and they’re always the first little burst of color that tells me spring is really on its way. They pop up so confidently, even when the weather can’t decide what it wants to do.

The crocuses are just as eager. They’re brave enough to push right up through the snow if they have to, and I love seeing those early splashes of purple and yellow. Our bleeding-heart is starting to peek through the soil too, and the hydrangeas are waking up slowly, trying to decide if it’s warm enough to get moving yet.

It’s that in‑between time of year when everything is just starting to stretch and yawn after winter, and I love watching the yard come back to life.
